Dr. David Cork
David developed his passion for osteopathy after seeking treatment for one of his own injuries. He saw the benefits of a tailored approach to address the underlying cause of his pain. Initially, David studied Commerce at Melbourne University but decided on a career change to follow his passion for helping people by becoming an osteopath.
David has worked in private practice in the eastern suburbs treating a range of patients of varying backgrounds and ages. David also worked as a sports trainer for local football club, giving him experience in treating sporting injuries especially football injuries.
David believes good communication and management are key to providing the best improvements for a patient. This typically involves, explaining the nature of the injury and giving clear practical advice on how to manage it including a management plan. This management plan will be tailored to the patient’s lifestyle. David likes to integrate hands on techniques and exercise into his treatments. He has a particular interest in neck pain, back pain and sporting injuries.
Prior to working as an osteopath, David worked as a personal trainer where he developed his passion for exercise. Outside the clinic, David enjoys staying fit, playing hockey, weight training and running.
